ANNOUNCEMENT | Register for the international student exchange program in Malaysia & Thailand in 2025
In order to create opportunities for students to access international academic environments, expand professional knowledge and cultural exchanges, the Faculty of Environment & Labor Protection announces two international student exchange programs in 2025 at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia and Silpakorn University, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. Specifically as follows:
1. "Sustainable Semiconductor Manufacturing for a Green World" program
Location: Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia
Time: 25/03/2025 – 29/03/2025
Target: Students of 03 majors of the Faculty of Environment & Safety
Maximum number: 10 students (EARLY REGISTRATION IS PRIORITY)
Registration deadline: 23/02/2025
Program content:
Attend a professional seminar by ASHRAE Malaysia on sustainable semiconductor manufacturing.
Visit factories, research centers on green manufacturing technology, and urban water supply and drainage.
Meet and learn from Prof. Leo Choe Peng and leading experts on sustainable manufacturing.
Interact with international students, improve foreign language skills.
Benefits and Costs:
Support:
Free attendance at the ASHRAE workshop (RM 100/Student),
Lunch support for 3 days (26-28/3/2025),
Internal travel expenses in Penang supported by USM,
Certificate of participation in the program (Certificate).
Students on their own:
Round-trip airfare from Ho Chi Minh City to Penang, Malaysia,
Accommodation costs at USM's dormitory,
Breakfast and dinner, travel insurance, and other personal expenses.

2. "Let's Hit Climate Change & Plastic Waste!" Program
Location: Silpakorn University, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand
Time: 21/05/2025 – 24/05/2025
Target: 3rd & 4th year students in environmental related majors (Environmental Science and Environmental Engineering Technology)
Quantity: Unlimited, but only 25 scholarships for all countries [HIGHLY COMPETITIVE]
Application deadline: 31/03/2025
Program content:
Learn about climate change, carbon footprint, upcycling and plastic waste reduction.
Practice producing bio-packaging (Beeswax Wraps), carbon capture technology.
Visit organic agriculture & sustainable development models.
Opportunity to learn and interact with international students and lecturers of Silpakorn University.
Selection process:
Step 1: The Board of Directors of the Faculty of Labor Safety and Health reviews the application documents of students.
Step 2: The Faculty of Science, Silpakorn University reviews the application documents and announces the list of successful candidates on April 2, 2025.

2,000 THB for transportation,
Free accommodation, most meals and all learning activities,
