Journal Club meeting September 2024
Dr. Pham Anh Duc presented the article published in the journal in the ISI Life category “Acute Exposure to Polyethylene Microbeads and Effects on the Water Flea Moina macrocopa” with the participation of 10 lecturers.
Discussed the research results on microplastic accumulation in the crustacean Moina macrocopa, an emerging research that is taking place complicatedly in the world as well as in Vietnam. This research has demonstrated that when organisms ingest microplastics, the accumulation in the body will cause potential risks to higher food levels. This can affect humans when eating shrimp and fish in both freshwater and marine conditions.
