“Understanding Emotions – Taking Charge of Yourself” Workshop for ENLABSAFE Students
In the midst of the pressures of academic and professional life, recognizing and understanding emotions plays an important role in self-care, appropriate interpersonal responses, and personal development. By understanding what is happening within themselves, individuals can become more proactive in how they think, act, and respond to everyday situations.
With the aim of supporting students in their journey of self-discovery and personal growth, on October 20, 2026, the Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety (ENLABSAFE), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), organized the workshop “Understanding Emotions – Taking Charge of Yourself” at Hall 6B..

At the workshop, students had the opportunity to explore what emotions are, how they arise, and how they influence thoughts and behaviours. Through discussions and practical activities, students learned to recognize the connections between emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, helping them better understand their own reactions to situations in academic and everyday life.

One of the workshop’s key topics was an approach to managing emotions through the message “Pause – Name – Choose.” This approach encourages students to pause before reacting, identify the emotions they are experiencing, and consider how to respond appropriately.
In addition to learning about emotions, students actively participated in discussions, shared their experiences, and listened to different perspectives in a friendly, respectful, and open environment.

The workshop provided valuable insights into emotional awareness and helped students develop a deeper understanding of themselves, while gradually building greater confidence and resilience in their studies and daily lives.
The Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety would like to express its sincere appreciation to Ms. Nguyen Tien Linh, Counsellor at the TDTU School Psychology Office, for sharing her knowledge and supporting ENLABSAFE students throughout the workshop.
