Visit and internship activities at Dai Dung Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company.
To help students connect theoretical knowledge with practical application and concretize the content of the Specialized Course on Occupational Environmental Management, a delegation of lecturers and students from the Enlabsafe, led by Dr. Ninh Xuan Huy, organized a field trip and internship at Dai Dung Shipyard (Dong Xuyen Industrial Park, Rach Dua Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Within the framework of the program, in addition to learning about the scale, development orientation, and job opportunities at the enterprise, students directly observed the production process and the technical systems for controlling the working environment (ventilation, isolation, noise reduction, lighting, etc.) in operation at the factory. Furthermore, students directly participated in practical exercises monitoring harmful factors (dust, chemicals, noise, microclimate, etc.) on-site. This is a crucial activity that helps students clearly identify the specific risks of the mechanical engineering and shipbuilding industry. Simultaneously, throughout the trip, the delegation also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with officials in charge of occupational safety and health management and practical experience in selecting and optimizing solutions for workplace environmental management and occupational safety management in the shipbuilding industry.
The visit was of practical significance, not only helping students strengthen their skills and future orientation but also strengthening the cooperative relationship in training high-quality human resources between the university and businesses. On this occasion, the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety would like to express its sincere gratitude to Dai Dung Shipyard - Dai Dung Group for their enthusiastic support and for providing many valuable experiences for lecturers and students of Enlabsafe, Ton Duc Thang University.
