2. Objectives

Promote research in ecology, natural resources, and environment.

Develop and train a team of young scientists and high-quality, innovative research personnel, contributing to the development of scientific resources for applied research and technological development in ecology, natural resources, and environment.
3. Main Research Directions

Identify typical emerging pollutants (EPs) in Vietnam, assess their toxicity, life cycle within ecosystems, and accumulation potential in aquatic environments.

Develop effective treatment processes and materials based on environmental biotechnology, specific microorganisms, nanomaterials, or advanced oxidation processes to enhance EP degradation efficiency.

Design and fabricate highly sensitive IoT sensor systems with real-time data transmission capability and integrated analytical–predictive algorithms for operational optimization.

Build pilot-scale integrated monitoring–treatment–automatic control models and evaluate their effectiveness for several representative wastewater sources.

Propose comprehensive solution packages and application procedures for large-scale implementation, contributing to sustainable development goals and enhancing environmental management capacity.
