Master program in Environmental Engineering

 

1) INTRODUCTION
  • The Master training program of the major Environmental Engineering is based on the reference of many reputable universities in the Netherlands, Thailand, England, Taiwan... The outstanding features of this training program are the selecting of advanced training program contents to suit the current condition in Viet Nam and the attempts to meet the demands of employers.
  • The lecturers are experienced in doing researches, work well in the field of Environment Engineering, and graduated from reputable universities.
  • Special information: students graduating with good Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at Ton Duc Thang University and having desires to study higher will have the priority to be considered transferring documents to continue studying the Ph.D. degree at universities of the Czech Republic, Taiwan…
2) CURRICULUM

The master's training program applicable to the enrollment period from 2025 includes 2 orientations as follows:

3) PROGRAM STRUCTURE
  • Training form: Full-time or part-time.
  • The total expected training time is 2 years (24 months), with a total of 60 training credits.
  • The modern training program, built on the training programs of advanced schools in the world, ensures the updating of the latest knowledge under the guidance of experienced scientists.
  • Students are familiar with writing articles to attend specialized conferences in the country and internationally, articles published in specialized scientific journals; making it easier to continue studying for a PhD.
  • The Faculty has links with many major universities in the world such as: Ostrava University of Technology, Prague University of Chemistry and Technology (Czech Republic), Feng Chia University, Ming Chi (Taiwan)... Therefore, students can go to these schools to intern and work with the world's leading Professors on their graduation thesis. As a result, students have access to advanced working environments at the lowest cost. With experience during their internship abroad, after graduation, students will easily apply for a PhD scholarship as well as shorten the time to study for a PhD abroad.
  • Excellent graduates who want to study for a PhD abroad will be given priority for consideration for a scholarship.
  • Students have access to science and technology databases such as ScienceDirect, Springer... to download the latest articles worldwide.

  • English Language Proficiency: English is a medium of instruction for the master program: The English ability must meet the requirements of the following table (English certificates must be valid for two years from the test date up to the application date)

6) THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Have in-depth knowledge of environmental engineering as well as good skills to perform professional work on environmental management and technology;

8) GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduation Requirements:

  • Complete all the courses of the curriculum with the course's average point >=5.5 (on a scale of 10);
  • Complete all the program with CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) >= 5.5 (on a scale of 10);

  • Meet the required English proficiency outcome (Request for Verifying English Certificate);

  • Philosophy course must be completed;

  • Complete a Master's thesis and defend it successfully in front of a Committee with the thesis defence result >=5.5 (on a scale of 10);
  • Completed paying tuition fees.
