- 1) INTRODUCTION
-
- The Master training program of the major is an advanced program that meets actual needs of the society and responds to the development of the HCMC’s dynamic economy in particular and of the country in general. Many new points are added into the major’s program so that they could create passion for learners. Besides, in order to elevate professional competence and management, this course is complemented with knowledge consecutively updated from top nations of the world.
- Teaching staffs are experienced lecturers in researching and training physical education & sports. Most graduated from famous universities around the world.

- 3) PROGRAM STRUCTURE
-
The program is divided into 3 large courses which are progressed in 3 semesters, as below:
- 1st Semester: Students will study general and fundamental courses;
- 2nd Semester: Students will study specialist courses;
- 3rd Semester: Students prepare master’s dissertation in 6 months.

4) ADMISSION TIME
-
Two admission times in June and December annually.
Study period: 18 – 24 months.
Study time: At night or in Saturday and Sunday.
- 5) ENTRY REQUIREMENT
-
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety (Regardless of training institution, training form or graduation rate ranking).
- Students got Bachelor degree relevant or close to Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering also have the opportunity to join this program after attending refresher courses and passing specialty transaction examination.
- For officials who are working at state management agencies in charge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) with at least two years seniority sent to university in order to meet the work requirements (certified by the heads of their units) will not be required the Bachelor Degree in this field or equivalent.
- Those who got temporary graduation certificate in appropriate or equivalent to Safety Health and Environmental Engineering with good grade also could apply and attend the entrance exam. Then they have to supplement their diploma before the beginning of the school term.
- 6) THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
-
- Language proficiency: TOEIC 500 or equivalent.
- Leader skill; Professional presentation skill; Teamwork skill; Arrangement skill; and Management skill of research.
- Improve and develop methodologies of scientific research, which supports for further PhD research.
- Build up a good relationship with many professors, senior lecturers, industrial experts in many fields of labor safety and occupational health.
- 7) CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

- Have in-depth knowledge of occupational safety and health techniques as well as good skills to perform professional work on management and implementation of occupational safety and health issues;
- Have the ability to teach theory and practice in the field of occupational safety and health;
- Be able to work independently or work in a team in order to provide a scientifically informed view about occupational safety and health issues needed to resolve at the work unit, as well as propose solutions such as technical technology, management organizational effectiveness;
- Having a strong knowledge and the ability to conduct scientific research in order to continue pursuing higher levels or conduct research projects at universities and research institutes related to occupational safety and health area;
- Could work in good positions in enterprises as well as state management agencies in the field of management of occupational safety and health.
- 8) GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
-
a) Students complete the training program with average GPA of 5.5 or above (on ten scales);
b) Meet the English proficiency requirement set by the university.
c) Must have an application for the final dissertation defense and declaration of honor of the truthfulness of the results as well as the instructor’s confirmation that the thesis meets the requirements.
- The research-oriented thesis is a scientific report, with new theoretical and academic contributions or new results in the study of a modern scientific problem in the specialty training program.
- The application-oriented thesis is a thematic report of research results addressing the practical issues or reporting organizational results, applying a theoretical, new models,… in the specialty to practice;
- The dissertation must contain scientific, practical, cultural and ethical values as well as conform to Vietnamese Customs and Traditions. - The thesis must comply with the current provisions of intellectual property law. The use or citation of the research results of other persons or co-authors must be cited fully and clearly at the quoted position and in the reference list. The research results have not been published elsewhere or by other authors.
