The 5th International Conference on Environmental Technology and Innovations – ICETI 2025

On the morning of November 27, 2025, at Auditorium 10F of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Opening Ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Environmental Technology and Innovations – ICETI 2025 was held with the participation of over 130 scientists, experts, and delegates from Taiwan (China), Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. The event aimed to share the latest research findings and promote collaboration in environmental technology, environmental health and safety, and sustainable development.

The conference was co-organized by TDTU and seven international partners, including:

  • Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan)

  • INJE University (Korea)

  • University of Malaysia Terengganu (Malaysia)

  • Ming Chi University of Technology (Taiwan)

  • National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan)

  • Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering – National Central University (Taiwan)

  • Water Innovation, Low-Carbon & Environmental Sustainability Research Center – National Taiwan University

ICETI 2025 focuses on four major areas:

  1. Environmental Technology & Engineering

  2. Industrial Safety & Environmental Health

  3. Sustainable Development & Resource Conservation

  4. Renewable Energy, Circular Economy & Climate Change

The plenary session featured two keynote presentations:

  • Prof. Sandhya Babel (SIIT – Thammasat University) with the topic “Is our drinking water safe from microplastics?”

  • Prof. Ching-Chang Lee (National Cheng Kung University) with the report “The occurrence of perfluoroalkyl substances in principal river environments and foodstuffs around Taiwan.”

These presentations sparked numerous in-depth discussions among delegates.

The conference received over 100 submissions from 25 universities and institutes nationwide and internationally. Among them, 88 abstracts were included in the Abstract Book; 20 full papers were recommended for publication in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (Scopus indexed). High-quality papers will also be considered for submission to Special Issues of two reputable journals: Frontiers in Earth Science and Safety & Health at Work (indexed in Scopus and Web of Science – SCIE).

In the afternoon, the conference continued with parallel sessions covering:

  • Environmental Technology & Engineering

  • Industrial Safety & Environmental Health

  • Sustainable Development & Resource Conservation

  • Renewable Energy – Circular Economy – Climate Change
