Academic Activity: "Occupational health management from an Enterprise perspective"

On March 17, 2026, the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety – Ton Duc Thang University organized a specialized academic seminar on occupational health management in businesses, attracting the interest and participation of a large number of students.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Nguyen Dao Thien An – former lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City, currently a doctor at Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam. With extensive practical experience in the manufacturing environment, the speaker provided a realistic perspective on the role and necessity of occupational health management in businesses today.

The program focused on clarifying why businesses need to build and maintain an occupational health management system, not only to comply with legal regulations but also to contribute to increased labor productivity, reduced risks, and sustainable development. In addition, the seminar also updated students on new regulations and standards, such as Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT on health examinations, Circular 60/2025/TT-BYT on occupational diseases, and Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT on guidance for managing occupational diseases.

Through practical case studies and implementation experiences at enterprises, students had the opportunity to better understand the process of managing employee health, monitoring occupational diseases, and the role of the medical and safety departments in factories. Simultaneously, the presenters shared many practical tips to help students orient their careers and better prepare for a professional work environment after graduation.

The academic seminar not only provided professional knowledge but also inspired and helped students become more proactive in building their career paths in the field of safety, health, and environment.
