A delegation of experts from Chinese universities and businesses visited and discussed cooperation with the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety.

On July 21, 2026, the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, Ton Duc Thang University, had the honor of welcoming a delegation of experts from Shanghai Polytechnic University (SSPU) and East China University of Science and Technology, together with representatives of several Vietnamese enterprises, for a visit and an exchange on cooperation opportunities in scientific research and technology transfer in the field of environmental technology.

The visiting delegation included Prof. Chenglong Zhang – Vice Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Haifeng Wang – Assistant Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Xinmin Fu – Lecturer at the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, and Senior Engineer Changde Zhao – Lecturer at the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, all from Shanghai Polytechnic University. The delegation also included Prof. Xiao-Dong Wang from East China University of Science and Technology, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Trien – representative of Viet Long Construction Company, and Ms. Nguyen Hoang Anh Thu – representative of Viet Tinh Company. On the side of the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, Ton Duc Thang University, the meeting was attended by the Faculty’s leadership, lecturers, and students.

During the working session, both sides discussed research directions and the application of advanced technologies in wastewater and industrial waste treatment, with particular focus on high-tech industries such as solar cell, lithium battery, and semiconductor manufacturing. These are rapidly growing sectors that also pose significant challenges in waste management and treatment, in the pursuit of sustainable development and environmental protection.

The two sides shared extensive experience in scientific research, technology transfer, and models of university–industry cooperation aimed at addressing environmental issues arising from modern industries. The meeting not only strengthened the cooperative relationship between the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety and its international partners and enterprises, but also opened up promising prospects for future cooperation in research, training, and the implementation of applied projects.

The Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety believes that, building on the foundation established during this meeting, both sides will soon launch practical cooperation programs that generate scientific and technological value for the community and contribute to the development of the green industry in the future.
