Learning Beyond The Classroom – Environmental Engineering Technology Students Visit My Xuan A Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Plant

As part of the course Practice of Wastewater Treatment Operation, students majoring in Environmental Engineering Technology from the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), participated in a field trip to the Centralized Wastewater Treatment Plant at My Xuan A Industrial Park.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to gain practical insights into wastewater treatment processes, treatment facilities, and daily plant operations. In particular, through direct discussions with the plant's operating engineers, students gained valuable hands-on knowledge, learned about technical requirements, and developed a better understanding of the challenges encountered in operating wastewater treatment systems.

Bridging theory and practice is one of the key priorities of the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety. With more than 30% of the curriculum dedicated to practical training, laboratory experiments, and real-world learning activities, the Faculty is committed to equipping students with essential professional skills, practical knowledge, and the ability to meet industry demands upon graduation.

Each field trip is not only a valuable learning experience but also an opportunity for students to explore their future careers, strengthen their passion for environmental engineering, and develop a sense of responsibility as future environmental engineers.
