Exchange Student Program at Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand
After passing the preliminary round of the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, 03 students majoring in Occupational Safety and Health, including Nguyen Duc Cuong, Nguyen Hoang Thuy Hien, Nguyen Minh Khoa, received 03 scholarships to participate in this program from March 15 - 26, 2025 at the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Mahidol University is known as one of the most prestigious universities in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Established in 1943, Mahidol University is famous for its high-quality training programs in the fields of science, medicine, and public health.
In this program, students had the opportunity to access an advanced education system and improve their professional knowledge in occupational health. At the same time, students experienced and learned about cultural, social and environmental factors affecting public health activities in Thailand. In addition, students were exposed to information on public health issues, health systems and policies in Thailand, through interactive learning activities and hands-on experiences. Students were also provided with detailed information on Thailand’s successful UHC system, including implementation strategies, equity-focused approaches and impact on public health outcomes.
In addition, students had the opportunity to practice their English skills by working and living with other international students from Indonesia, Japan, China and Thailand.
