Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, Ton Duc Thang University hosts the Knowledge Transfer Meeting & Workshop I under the framework of the ASEAN IVO Project 2025
On November 26–27, 2025, the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in collaboration with international partners from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM, Malaysia), the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT, Japan), and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT, Cambodia), successfully organized the Knowledge Transfer Meeting & Workshop I as part of the joint research initiative ASEAN IVO Project 2025: “ICT-Driven Water Quality Monitoring Systems: Enhancing Precision and Sustainability under Climate Change.”
The workshop aimed to promote academic exchange, knowledge transfer, and collaborative research in IoT-based water monitoring technologies. During the event, invited experts delivered presentations and engaged in discussions on the following key topics:
- Acquisition and transmission of sensor data using Device-to-Device (D2D) communication systems
- Machine learning applications for water sensor calibration
- Development and operation of IoT-based water quality monitoring systems
- Prospects for interdisciplinary research collaboration within the ASEAN region
In addition to the technical presentations, project researchers held a progress meeting and conducted a field survey to install the D2D communication system along a canal inside the TDTU campus, laying the groundwork for future prototype testing with real-time environmental data.
The event provided valuable opportunities for academic networking among TDTU lecturers, researchers, and students and international experts, while strengthening research collaboration networks and advancing the application of ICT in water quality management under climate change pressures.
