Welcoming Delegates from Japanese Universities and Research Institutes to the Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety

On November 25, 2025, the Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety (ENLABSAFE) – Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) hosted a working session with a delegation of experts from leading universities and research institutes in Japan, including Toyo University, Kobe University, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and Shibaura Institute of Technology.

The delegation consisted of distinguished professors with extensive research experience in environmental engineering, environmental microbiology, and antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in urban wastewater systems—areas that align strongly with the Faculty’s academic and research orientation, particularly in environmental biotechnology. The delegation members included:

  • Prof. Shimizu Kazuya – Toyo University

  • Prof. Ikko Ihara – Kobe University

  • Prof. Hideaki Maseda – AIST

  • Prof. Qintong Li – Shibaura Institute of Technology

The working session took place from 14:00 to 17:00 at Meeting Room A101 and included a campus tour, with participation from lecturers and researchers of ENLABSAFE. During the meeting, both parties discussed potential research directions, opportunities for collaboration in training and scientific research, and the development of future joint projects based on the strengths of each institution.

The visit of the Japanese expert delegation signifies promising prospects for future international cooperation, contributing to strengthening research activities and enhancing the training quality of the Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety.
